Project YANA

So many people feel alone. It is a terrible feeling.

Mother Teresa was once asked by a journalist, “Is there anything I can do to help you with your cause? Could I help you raise money or give you some publicity?”
Mother Teresa answered, “If you really want to do something, tomorrow morning get up at 4 a.m. and go out on the streets. Find someone living there who believes that he is alone, and convince him that he is not.”

Rock picWhat is Project YANA?

It’s a new initiative to combat loneliness through unexpected and unconditional love and kindness.

We will strategically place YANA rocks in areas which we believe are saturated with people that might feel alone

When someone finds a YANA rock it will direct them to contact us if they feel alone

Every caller will be given:

• 20 envelopes, each with five one dollar bills and five inspirational handwritten messages from five different donors

• A photo album of the inspirational messages 100 messages

• Resource packet with information about area non-profits and churches

• A small YANA rock to keep in their pocket as a reminder that there are people that care

They will be handed each of the 20 envelopes one at a time and told that they are not alone each time. They will also be informed that each envelop represents five different people that cared enough to take the time to write them a note from their heart.

The idea of “paying it forward” will be suggested. But, the donation comes with no conditions and no strings attached.
