For over three years I have had this Love and Let phrase in my head. It just popped in. I didn’t go looking for some catchy inspirational tag line. It literally just popped in my head during a time of quiet reflection.
I have received a lot of feedback about how the “Letting” portion of Love and Let is the most difficult. So let’s focus on Let just a bit.
The Let half of this equation means to let go of your attachment to outcome. To let go of worry. To let go of the need to to control everything that goes on in your life. To let go of your desire to play life like a game of chess. To let the chips fall where they may. To let people be who they are. To let people criticize you without getting upset about it. To let your true self shine through without concern of what others think. To let go of judgement. To let go of anxiety. To let God into your life. To let go of your pursuit of status and possessions. To let go of your ego.

How does one go about this? You have to do the work on the front side of the equation Love and Let first. Once you have opened your heart; truly freaking opened it, then you can start to let go. Then you can have faith. Then you can disengage from control. Then you can remove your emotional attachments to outcomes and adversity. Then you can release your judgement of yourself and others. Then you can be free. Then you can LET as described above.

Are YOU ready? Have you done the work on the front side?
One of the best books I have read on letting go is The Untethered Soul by Michael Singer. If you get a chance you might want to check it out.
Have a great day!
