Life is not always kind and gentle. Sometimes is just sucks. Pain, fear, and grief can strike anyone at anytime. People die. People cry. How do we Love and Let when life bites us in the ass?

It is in times of sadness that you must open your heart to others. Love yourself enough to allow others to lift you. You allow them to feed your soul and bandage your wounds. Choose love by just allowing others to love you and choosing to feel and accept what and they have to offer you. The mode and means of other people’s love and kindness can be weird, awkward, and imperfect; but the love itself is never imperfect.
Reach out to friends and family. Talk to people. Accept the fact that you are vulnerable and understand that everyone is vulnerable at times. It is natural. Do not feel ashamed for being a normal human being. Accept your emotions. Without sadness, we could never know happiness.
Let go of guilt.
Let go of the barriers that you have put up around your heart.

God does not create a storm that does not end. So remember that even the strongest of storms will pass, but sometimes it helps to run to your neighbors house to seek shelter.
And if you are not feeling sad on this day and I certainly hope you are not, please know that there are people in your life that are. There are people around you, somewhere, that are not feeling great. Look to your “neighbors’ ” homes and look for stormy weather. Call, text, email, Facebook message, Snapchat, send a thank you card. Whenever you sense a storm in their air, reach out to them. DO NOT underestimate the power of your kindness. Offer them your home for shelter. You just might need the favor returned some day.
Mark 12:31 – Love your neighbor as yourself. There is no commandment greater than these.
