At a televised town hall meeting during the 2008 presidential election, on the biggest stage there is, John McCain defended his opponent. “He is a decent, family man. A citizen that I happen to have disagreements with…”

John McCain’s passing was very timely as we are in an era of personal attacks and political tribalism. Let’s all remember John McCain. Stand up and speak out for what you believe in, but do not attack the character of others. Respect diversity of thought. Some of John’s closest friends were people from across the aisle. Let us honor this American hero with our thoughts, words and actions.
